This is why sponsorship is the key to change. The research is clear: focusing on **sponsorship**—not just mentorship—is a critical lever for achieving true equity in management. According to a study by the Center for Talent Innovation, individuals with sponsors are **23% more likely** to move up in their careers than those without.
