This data, gathered from over 281 organizations and 15,000 employees, reveals both the strides made and the formidable barriers that remain in our pursuit of gender equity. The findings particularly highlight challenges for women of color, LGBTQ+ women, and women with disabilities—underscoring a pressing need for dedicated, transformative action.

The Corporate Pipeline: From Progress to Parity
Women, especially women of color, still face steep challenges in corporate leadership. While women now hold 29% of C-suite positions—up from 17% in 2015—the “broken rung” of promotions at entry and managerial levels continues to hold many back. For every 100 men promoted to manager, only 81 women achieve the same advancement. At this rate, true parity will take nearly 50 years to achieve.

A recent Accenture study shows that while tech roles drive economic innovation, the percentage of women in these fields has actually declined over the past 35 years. Even more concerning, half of the young women who enter tech leave by age 35, forfeiting crucial career-building years that could lead to executive roles.
